Metronome Plus is made by Hugo Software. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does with data. The short version: we collect nothing.

We collect no personal data

Metronome Plus has no user accounts, no sign-in, no registration and no email collection. We operate no servers for this app and receive nothing from it. We cannot identify you, and we do not want to.

Your settings and records stay on your device

Everything you create in the app — custom tempo presets, saved BPM readings from the Tempo Finder, rhythm-game scores, your chosen click sound, accent pattern, volume and language — is written to the app's local storage on your own device.

That data never leaves your phone. It is not backed up to any service of ours, because we have no service. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.

The microphone

Two optional tools use the microphone: Tempo Finder, which estimates the tempo of music playing near you, and the Rhythm Game, which listens to how steadily you keep time.

The permission is requested only when you open one of those tools and start listening. While listening, the audio signal is analysed live, in memory, on your device, purely to work out beats per minute.

No audio is ever recorded to a file, saved, or transmitted anywhere. Nothing is sent off the device. If you decline the microphone permission, the rest of the app works exactly as before — only those two tools are unavailable.

No ads, no analytics, no tracking

Metronome Plus contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. There is no advertising identifier collection, no profiling, no third-party tracker of any kind, and no data is shared with or sold to anyone.

No payments

The app is completely free. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, so we never see any payment information.

Works offline

The app is designed to work fully offline and makes no network requests in normal use.

Children

Metronome Plus is not directed at children. Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none. Your data lives only on your device, entirely under your control — you can clear saved records inside the app or uninstall it to remove everything.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
